But I used CCleaner for some purposes like deleting and clearing file, which is good, and also includes built in uninstaller so CCleaner is great. Thanks Raymond. Nowadays, kids are allowed to use calculators in school at a young age. Fine you say — but what the hell are they going to do when the bloomin calculator packs up?

Including software updates Have you recently uninstalled or installed AOL? Have you made any changes to Internet Explorer? Do you have Autocad? CLick Start , then Run type: cmd and press enter. You might need to post it in more than one reply if it is long. Click Start , then Search. Select All Files and Folders , and 'look in' C:.
Search for: appwiz. Edited by sarahw, 23 June - PM. Posted 24 June - AM. Hi Sarah, Here is the info you requested. I apologize but I did the cmd three times because I didnt realize the results would show up in another folder. The only updates that occured as far as I know are the automatic Windows Updates. As far as Autocad, I do not know what that is. I will do a search to see if its on my pc, but to be honest, I have no idea.
The only program that I installed and ran was the one mentioned in my previous post, alluc. It was never present on my desktop before all the problems began. I messed everything up pretty bad, huh? Sorry Windows Registry Editor Version 5. Would you like to see those logs as well? Posted 07 July - AM. Posted 07 July - PM. The only thing I did was when I didn't hear back from anyone at g2g, I scoured the internet on my own to try and find any help with this problem. This starts the Registry Editor.
From the very small export we have, this isn't apparent in your case. What has most likely happened, is some program you have used has stuffed entries in the registry I would say its most likely a registry cleaner or a similar tool. If you look at that the export of the Uninstall registry key, you can see that there is nothing there to fix, the other entries have been removed. None at the moment. Mine is empty though and I don't really know if it's ever used or not. It can't hurt to look and see if there's anything there though.
I'll keep looking and see if I can come up with something else for you. Start Run and type gpedit. Check the settings in the right-hand pane to see if showing Change Remove has been disabled.
TonyT ,. Error: Windows cannot find gpedit. Now what? Thanks for the help so far by the way! I see you're using XP Home.
Home doesn't have gpedit so that's why you get the error message. As for an answer to your problem, I haven't found one yet. At the moment, the only thing I can think of to try would be to search the registry for NoRemove and see if you can find them that way. I had a look at mine and all of the programs I have installed are listed under the uninstall key. They are all subkeys of the uninstall key. I'm not sure what's happening in your case.
Zander thanks for your help. Not sure if it is safe to change them all to 0 without knowing which programs they refer to. I've got some of those "cryptic" sub keys in the uninstall key too. I hadn't looked at any of them before so I took a second look at mine.
