Pokemon diamond ds manual

Was this guide helpful? YES NO. In This Wiki Guide. Release Date. Table of Contents. A ROM is essentially a virtual version of the game that needs to be loaded into the emulator. Navigate to the downloaded. The game will now run on the emulator and you can play the game freely. Inside of the second house you come across first one on the left , you can talk to the clown living there to receive TM92 Trick Room.

You can also pick up a PP Up near the pool, which is west of the scattered houses. There's a restaurant near the entrance, which you can enter and fight a multitude of Double Battles. The restaurant is only open between the hours of and , and the Trainers inside might vary from the ones I have listed below. Outside of the restaurant, you'll find the Galactic Goon to the east. Talk to him, and he'll run to the north.

Follow him north, and then talk to him again, but this time, instead of running away, he'll fight you. You've stopped him now, he's done. Head north a bit and you'll find Cynthia again. She'll ask how your Pokedex is coming along and will then give you the SecretPotion which can be used to clear the Psyducks blocking your path on Route But, since you're already in the area, head north to Route It'll take you back to Veilstone City anyway, so it's all good.

Level s Morn. The left path will take you through less wild Pokemon and Trainers. The paths are pretty straightforward, though, although there is a shortcut in the left path if you have Rock Smash on you. Although, if you're anything like me, you'll want to beat the snot out of all of the Trainers in both paths, huzzah!

You can find a hidden Heart Scale give to the Move Relearner in Pastoria City by using your Dowsing Machine, although it's easy to find even without using it. Near the Psychic, there's a 0-shaped path with a square of tall grass missing. Examine where the 0 is missing a patch of grass to find it. At the end of the mountain side of the path, there's a cave entrance leading into the Ruin Maniac Cave.

Inside, you can find TM28 Dig. The guy inside is obsessed with Unowns Depending on how many letters of Unown you have, he'll dig the tunnel out further and further. You can catch Hippopotas inside of his cave, but only very rarely.

The larger his tunnel gets, the more likely you are to encounter Hippopotas, and when his tunnel is complete after having all 26 letters of the Unown , he'll finally stop and open up an exit to Solaceon Ruins, allowing you to reach a special room that has Unown! At the very end of Route , you'll find yourself back in Veilstone City. From here, head west, past Route and back to the Pokemon Cafe on Route While in Veilstone City, you will want to put a Pokemon that knows Defog on your party.

Zubat is a pretty common Pokemon that can learn Defog if you're looking for one that can learn it. Cynthia will then appear behind you. Answer yes to her question and she'll give you the Old Charms. She then tells you to go to Celestic Town and runs off. Well, Ninja Boys, because they're barely visible.

There's also 12 real Ninjas in there, but they don't have any Pokemon. As you head north, a patch of dense fog will start to form. You will either need to wander around blindly or use Defog in order to clear the fog from the area, allowing you to see. Make your way through the tall grass and climb the hill, up to the area where you need to cross a bridge.

There's another narrow bridge that you can cross with your Bicycle, so ride it across, fight against the Ninja Boy, take the narrow bridge south, and then use Rock Smash to clear way to TM30 Shadow Ball. Head back to the start of the narrow bridge, but this time go south on the main bridge. Continue to make your way west until you eventually reach Celestic Town.

Well, at least, that's what I'm guessing. If you go west of the Pokemon Center, an old lady will ramble about some legend or something. At this point, you can pick up a few items throughout town. Inside of the Pokemon Center, talking to the man on the left side of the building will net you a Great Ball. You can talk to the Black Belt inside of the house on the southwest side of town to receive the Analog Watch Application for your Poketch.

It's basically just a clock with hands on it instead of a hour military digital clock thingy. There's also no Poke Mart in town, but the house in the northeast corner of town is called the Friendly Shop and it has items for you to purchase. But, you can also talk to the bearded man inside of the Friendly Shop and he'll give you the Wise Glasses, which slightly increase the power of the bearer's Special-type attacks.

Whenever you're ready, head to the center of town and talk to the Team Galactic Grunt guarding the entrance to a cave. Answer yes to his question and he'll initiate a battle. After beating him, he'll run off, allowing you access into the cave. The old lady from before will come over and thank you for ridding him. She'll also notice the Old Charms you have and will know that it was Cynthia that gave it to you. She'll then take the Old Charms from you and tell you to look at the inside of the cave.

Inside, you will see ancient drawings of three Pokemon on the wall. Examine them, and the old lady will come in and tell you about the legend of the trio of Legendary Pokemon. She'll then give you HM03, which contains Surf, but she'll tell you that you can't use it outside of battle until after you've gotten the Gym Badge from Hearthome City. As you exit the cave, the man with blue hair that you saw at the Mt.

Coronet will be outside. He'll introduce himself as Cyrus, talk to you about some stuff, mention Mt. Coronet, and will then leave. Anyway, now you can finally go back to Hearthome City and enter the Gym! However, just for completion's sake, you might as well check out Route to the west not necessary, but I'm going to cover it anyway. Not too bad.

He'll then give you TM77 Psych Up. To the west is another entrance to the Mt. You haven't been to this part of it yet, but there's really nothing in there for now except an Escape Rope.

You can come back here later when you are able to use Strength to do some more exploring, though. This Gym is all about riddles.

Pretty simple mathmatical riddles, actually. To start, stand on the elevating platform and you'll see a signpost and three doors in front of you. Read the sign to see the question, as well as three possible answers with arrows. If you think the answer with the arrow pointing left is correct, then enter the left door. If you think the one with the arrow pointing up is correct, enter the middle door. And if you think the answer with the arrow pointing right is correct, can you guess?

Yes, you're right, you go through the door to the right. What happens if you get a question wrong? You get hurled into a pool of molten lava, that's what! So don't get it wrong! No, don't worry, you don't really get thrown into a pool of lava.

You just have to fight a Trainer. I'm all for fighting Trainers, so don't feel like you need to answer all of the questions correctly.

Heal up, and get ready for a tough fight against her ghostly team of terrors! Remember, the GTS can be an awesome way to get Pokemon if you know how to work it. Anyway, all of Fantina's Pokemon are Ghost-type, so your Normal- and Fighting- type attacks are going to be rendered absolutely useless here. And, since all of her Pokemon either have Levitate or are part Flying-type, your Ground-type attacks are useless as well. Dark-type attacks will be your best bet for inflicting the most damage.

Otherwise, you'll just want to go aggressive with any attack other than Normal-, Fighting-, and Ground-type ones. Fantina's Drifblim has a literal ton of HP. It also forces you to take damage if you knock it out with a Physical-based attack, so keep that in mind before hitting it with Bite, Crunch, etc. It's not that aggressive, thankfully, but it's still a real pain to take down. Her Mismagius is an absolute terror to fight against.

It knows the destructive Shadow Ball, which, with its high Special Attack, will do a considerable amount of damage to you. It also knows Psychic and Magical Leaf for additional type coverage, and Confuse Ray to really mess with you.

Be careful not to bring it down to the red-zone in health, otherwise Fantina will use a Hyper Potion and remove all of the damage you inflicted. Lastly is her Gengar, which also has very high Special Attack. Fortunately it has fairly weak Defense and Special Defense, but it is fast and hits hard, so be careful. After beating her, she'll give you the Relic Badge. She'll also give you TM65 Shadow Claw. Plus, on top of that, you can also now use Surf outside of battle. As you leave the Gym, Cynthia will approach you and ask you about what happened in Celestic Town.

She'll then talk about what Team Galactic is planning and will tell you to go to the library in Canalave City. To get there, you will need to travel west of Jubilife City. You can return to the Poketch Company Building and talk to the President on the first floor, by the receptionist to receive the Link Searcher Poketch Application. Hanging Ten - Now that you can Surf If you just want to get on with the Walkthrough or don't care about getting useful items, proceed to section 5.

Otherwise, read on. You can find a Keystone by using the Dowsing Machine in the left side of the small pond on the south side of town. It's hidden in the trees. You can Surf along the beach south of town to access Routes , , and See sections 6. In the basement of Oreburgh Gate requires Rock Smash to access , you can now use Surf to reach a previously unavailable area of the basement.

Over there, you'll find a Trainer to fight. Well, you can fight wild Golducks by Surfing, which is kind of cool. On the southern side of Route by Jubilife City , there's a lake on the west side of the Route. You can Surf on it to reach the Sea Incense.

You can also find a HP Up by walking northwest, near the entrance to the cave, and using Surf to cross the lake. On an isolated piece of land, you'll find the HP Up. Inside of the cave, you'll find some rocks that require Rock Smash to clear.

Smash 'em down like you might have done before, although now you can use Surf to continue exploring the cave. A bit north, you'll find a place to land the river will continue, though. Stop there for now, and climb the path, using Rock Smash on the rocks in your way. Eventually, you'll find the Luck Incense up there. You can also continue surfing on the river to find TM03 Water Pulse at the very end of it. From the bridge that Team Galactic once blocked, you can Surf to the west, then north, and you'll eventually find a fork in the road Head west, and you'll find yourself in a new area, the Fuego Ironworks see section 6.

Surf south of that and you'll find yourself in the very back of the Floaroma Meadow You can find a Miracle Seed in the northwest corner and a Leaf Stone in the southeast corner of the garden. Plus, there are a TON of hidden items scattered throughout the garden, so be sure to use your Dowsing Machine to track them all down! You can find a Max Elixir hidden in the right-side of the Windmill behind the fence which is accessable only by using Surf.

Use your Dowsing Machine to track it down. You can also pick up TM24 Thunderbolt by Surfing to the north- east portion of the area. There's a hidden PP Up that can be located by Surfing in the northeastern area of town. You'll need to use your Dowsing Machine in order to locate it. There are two pools of water that you can use Surf to get across. The one to the south will eventually lead you to a Dawn Stone.

On the other end of the northern pool, you will find a Protein. By the area with the bridges, you can go down near the water and use Surf. Unfortunately, until you are able to use Waterfall, the only thing you can do down here is fight a Fisherman. From the western side of Route , near the docks where there's a girl in a Pikachu costume, you'll want to Surf across the river until you reach a small piece of land that she is facing.

Then, walk over to where the rock in the river is. You can use Surf at one square behind the rock, allowing you to access a secret area where you can find TM19 Giga Drain.

Right around where you can enter the courtyard of the Pokemon Mansion, there's a pool out to the west that you can Surf across to gain access to the inside of the hedges. You can pick up a Rose Incense there. Along the docks, you can Surf your way to a small 2x1 area of land, surrounded by two trees and water. There's also a one-tile large patch of flowers there.

You can examine the patch of flowers to find a hidden Protein. You can also find TM84 Poison Jab near all of the narrow bike bridges. Surf around, and you'll find it, along with a small patch of tall grass. You can use Surf along the beach. Look for an opening in the rock formation so you can get inside of it, then surf around. There are some Trainers inside for you to fight.

Continue down the path until you eventually find a Water Stone. If you desire, you can make your way to the south part of the shallow water and examine the white rock there use the Dowsing Machine to find a Big Pearl hidden there.

Near the entrance to the building to Veilstone City, you can use Surf to cross a lake and snag a Rare Candy. You could visit here earlier, although you couldn't get any further than the dock due to your lack of the ability to Surf. Now, however, you can freely traverse the Route and access Canalave City. Canalave City really is not very far away at all. On your way there, there's a patch of tall grass with Floatzels, Gastrodons, and Mr. Mimes for you to catch and battle.

On your way through the building to Canalave City, Dawn's father will stop you and power up your Pokedex. Now you can view the gender differences of each Pokemon in the Pokedex.

Continue on to Canalave City. There are ships and such all over the place. There's also some items and interesting people to talk to in town. Inside of the first house you will see when entering Canalave City, talk to the lady on the right and she will give you TM48 Skill Swap.

The Move Deleter, which will let you remove any moves from your Pokemon including HM moves , can be found in the house to the north of Poke Mart. Handy if you accidentally loaded your main Pokemon with cruddy HM moves and want to undo the mess you did. Before crossing the bridge to the west side of town, make sure your Pokemon are fully healed, because as you cross the bridge, Rival will show up and challenge you to a battle.

He finally evolved his Starly into a Staravia, and he even added a new Pokemon, Heracross which you probably have not seen at this point in the game, so it will be a new addition to your Pokedex. He still shouldn't be that tough, but his Heracross will make it more of a challenge due to its decent strength.

His starter Pokemon will also be pretty potent by now. After beating him, he'll run off again, talking some about the League Champion.

Anyway, on the western side of town, there's a library, and a ship that can take you to Iron Island. However, you can access a secluded area with a valuable TM if you use Surf while on the dock to the ship and the Surf your way south. You'll eventually find a secret area that contains TM89 U-Turn. Now might be a good time for you to go to Iron Island and help Riley out.

He'll reward you with a Riolu egg, which will hatch and then evolve into the cool Lucario with proper training. Check out section 6. Inside, prepare yourself to fight a multitude of Rock- and Steel-type Pokemon.

It's actually not as difficult as it may seem, but it is pretty fun riding the elevators all around. To get to the Gym Leader, from the start, take the platform on the far right the fourth one to take you up.

Take the platform to the south back down, fight the Ace Trainer, and then take the west platform back up to the second floor. Take the platform up there to the west, then take the next platform up to the third floor. Take the northern platform followed by the top platform by the Worker. Keep taking the platforms to the east until you get to the second Black Belt. Fight him, then go south and take the two platforms to take you to the other side of the wall.

Take the next platform you see down, fight the Ace Trainer, then take the platform she's guarding down to the first floor. Now, take the red platform all the way up to the Gym Leader himself. Byron will introduce himself as the Gym Leader, and also as Roark's father. Yep, you'll see the connection in both their looks and in the Pokemon they use.

Brace yourself for an ironclad battle against the Steel Gym Leader! The only Type that is Super Effective against it is Fire, which if you have, you should obviously use. Otherwise, just use your strongest Water-, Electric-, Fighting-, Ghost-, or Dark-type attacks any other types will be resisted. Steelix isn't too much fancier than anything you came up against in the Gym.

Just higher level, and with some better attacks. One good Special-based Water- type attack will sink the iron snake. Avoid using Physical-based attacks against it, though, because even 4x effective attacks like Fighting- or Ground-type attacks will not knock it out in one hit!

Lastly comes his Bastiodon. This thing has gargantuan Defense and Special Defense particularly the former , so there is almost no way to one hit KO it. Your best bet here would be a Fighting- or Ground-type attack preferably Special-based , although even that will take a few hits. It knows Iron Defense, which will sharply raise its Defense, and it tends to use it quite often until its Defense is literally untouchable.

Once it starts using it, switch to your strongest Special-based attacks. It also knows Flash Cannon, a powerful Steel-type attack, although fortunately it won't do too considerable of damage due to Bastiodon's low Attack and Special Attack. Plus, the first time it uses Rest, it will wake up immediately thanks to a held berry it has.

If you have a move like Swords Dance, Howl, Leer, or Tail Whip, it would be wise to use these moves to either strengthen your own Pokemon or weaken Bastiodon during its sleep.

After beating him, you'll earn the Mine Badge from him, which will allow you to use Strength outside of battle. Since this is your 6th Badge, any of your traded Pokemon up to Level 70 will now fully obey you.

He'll also give you TM91, Flash Cannon, which is a very worthwhile move to teach an Empoleon if you have one. You can take a shortcut out of the Gym by riding the platform to the right of Tougan all the way around, and then taking the red platform back to the first floor.

Now that you can use Strength, return to the basement, across the water, where you had fought the Expert. This time, though, you'll be able to use Strength to move the boulder that was blocking your path. Right near the boulder is the Earth Plate. Also, just to the north, use Rock Smash on the rock by another boulder, and then push to boulder to the left to gain access to TM01 Focus Punch.

On the top floor of the library will be Rival, Dawn, and Rowan. Rowan will ask the three of you to track down the three Legendary Pokemon of the three lakes. Just then, you'll hear what sounds like a large explosion. Head outside of the library and a sailor will tell you that Team Galactic set off explosives at Lake Valor. How did you let that one slide?!

Ok, well you'd better get crusin' on over there to stop them before it's too late. Head over to the west, fighting a Galactic Grunt, and then make your way south, fighting the other two, until you find the entrance to a small cave. Enter the cave, and inside you will find another Commander of Team Galactic: Saturn.

Talk to him and he'll go into his plans and stuff, and will then battle you. You probably haven't seen Toxicroak before, and it can hit kind of hard, but it shouldn't be any tougher than your last Gym Leader battle. The other two Pokemon are jokes and you should be familliar with how to extinguish them.

Heal up if you have to, and then Fly over to Twinleaf Town - back to where you got your first Pokemon. Rowan will tell you to hurry over to Dawn, who is holding off Mars. Fight your way through the two rounds of Double Battles over to Dawn, and then talk to Mars. She'll proceed to engage you in a fight. They're also a bit tougher than Saturn's. However, Purugly is really the only thing to fear.

It has great Attack, although nowhere it should be nowhere near as scary now that you have or, at least, should have some strong evolved Pokemon on your side.

To get to Lake Acuity, you'll need to first travel through Mt. Fly to Eterna City, make sure you have a sufficient amount of items and Pokemon on your team that know both Strength and Defog, and preferably Surf and Rock Smash as well. Coronet entrance on Route West either side works actually, although I'm going to start from the west side near Eterna City , although now you are able to push the boulders in there. Push the northern boulder to access TM69 Rock Polish.

Pushing the eastern boulder will lead you over to Route East. Push the boulder north, then smash some rocks, and you'll find a Rare Candy. Go back to the east, and then go north, down a set of stairs, and you'll eventually find a set of stairs going down. Right near the stairs you can use Rock Smash to get a Stardust. Head north, and you'll see a large lake. Down in the lake, you can Surf to the east and find a small landing area that contains Light Clay.

Otherwise, keep riding on the elevated path until you see stairs going down to the middle layer. Use Strength to move the boulder and you'll find Soft Sand. Near the northern side of the room, you'll find a boulder in front of a Revive. Move the boulder, and then pick up the Revive. Keep going along the side of the cliff, using Rock Smash when you need to, and you'll eventually find a Full Restore.

You can also Rock Smash near the coast there to get a Max Elixir. After you've picked up everything you want to, return to the northwest corner of the room, and then take the flight up stairs out of the basement. Back on the first floor, there's a HP Up hidden in the wall between the two rocks. Secured payment and shipping. At bitgameshop.
