I've updated the story for the author to reflect hibernation as well. I added clarification re: desktops and notebooks, though I'd suggest powering down a notebook with an SSD is comparable to putting it into hibernation. I don't think anyone would recommend putting it into standby; as you mention, that continues to drain power.

Meanwhile,if you want to disable the feature,you can refer to the following step: 1. To disable Prefetch, set it to 0 and click OK and Exit. Prefetch is basically a feature or algorithm that runs when you boot up your computer.
This function basically loads the program files that are frequently-used into the memory so that it can run the program instantly. SuperFetch is basically an upgrade of prefetch, but this function actually is programmed so that it can take your whole memory to preload the apps and release the memory when needed which can make your PC slow and laggy.
